A few years ago, if you thought the world of video games would turn to Web Browser Based Games, I would say you’re crazy! Wow, how things have changed!
Think about it, no download required, no large amount of computer hardware required, all you need is an internet connection, a web browser, a mouse or trackball, and some kind of keyboard. This is the case with a new entry into the Mystic Hack and Slash genre, which is quite similar to Blizzard Entertainment’s infamous Diablo series. Drakensang Online arrived at the scene.
You must see it to believe it. If you’ve liked the original Diablo or similar games in the past, you’ll feel at home here. The best part is that there is nothing to download! Zero-Zip-Nada !!! / Works directly from your browser, Chrome, FireFox, IE, Opera ……… It does not matter. The graphics are great, the game is quite addicting, the story line is, ahhhh, mediocre. But who cares about this game and you don’t need to download 3Gig client to play it!

As you can see, this is not a Virtual World environment like SecondLife or OpenSim, but a Video Adventure Game! And Adam! I must tell you, this is Bomb !! Big time !! I can’t stop playing this damn thing! But then again I was completely addicted to Diablo for several years, and this ( Step into the Return Machine We are back to Windows 95. Ok, I know I’m straying from my usual way on this Blog, but I don’t care!
This is a Killer example of what can be done in a browser-based format.
No longer dependent on a 3Gig client download, I can play this game almost anywhere with a web browser, that’s just the first step.
And do you understand that?
Everything is programmed in JAVA !!!!!
Man this has turned the whole online game world upside down.
