We players knew that we were breaking the Rogue Mistress adventure plot train. However, he had to hire another PC as a player, so he jumped into the scum of the new PC and the darkest birdhouse of the villains. I found three mercenaries hiring a law priest, a little tired of the current “gig”, obsessed with Edward Burns Jones and the deepest dye black witch. Edward Burns Jones was a confused agent. Specifically, he was an agent of “Satan” and apparently had some problems with “Lucifer”! Edward Burns Jones was named after the painter, and the PC looked like his classic work of art, “Wizard.” The girl in the picture is the familiar devil of desire Edward.
According to our latest rookie “Lucfier”, the version that appeared in Michael Moorecock’s “War Hound” and “Pain of the World”. And we knew that hell would pay. So we had the magic that made her think that her heart was still embedded. Then there was another encounter between the “dog” and his mercenary!
The party managed to hire a “unlucky” martial artist, assassin, and former servant of chaos, Fo Fuk Fenn. Fo was embarrassing Half of the Shaolin monks, Chinese and Irish, turned to worship chaos after losing everything in the Boxer Rebellion. He was based on a miniature I hadn’t seen since 1991.The closest I’ve seen are some of the foundries First Chinese War (First Opium War) 1839-42 Miniature.
After losing the staff of the Devil’s Weapon, Pho turned into a drink and was washed away in an old mercenary costume. This book definitely deserves Appendix N, and the story of sword and sorcery meets a journey to the center of the underworld written by HP Lovecraft. Shea’s conversation and storytelling are top notch.
