We will be using the Registry editor to disable automatic updates. To disable automatic updates, we need to add a new key to the Windows registry. Follow some of the simple steps given below.
Stage 1. Before anything else, ‘Start’ Press the button and search ‘Regedit’ Hungry Registry editor from the list.

Step 2. This will open the Registry editor. Now go to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindows

Stage 3. Now right click on the Windows folder and select New> Key.

Step 5. Now right click the WindowsUpdate key and New> Key option.

Step 7. Right click the AU key and New> DWORD (32 bit) Value option.

Step 9. Double click the NoAutoUpdate key and change its value from 0 to 1.

Step 10. When completed, ‘OK’ button and then Restart your PC.
