We are all in very difficult days. There is nothing idle this year. The main demonstrator is Corona. Many things have changed in our lives due to this epidemic situation. We all met “E Sevai” centers instead of us. These centers were established by the Tamilnadu Government to help people obtain important documents and certificates quickly. Instead of rushing to these centers, if we have a net-connected smartphone / laptop / PC, we can easily get the certificates ourselves.

Creating an E Sevai account
First we need to create an account on the E Sevai portal. First click the new user to register.
A new window will now open. In this, we need to provide some basic information such as Name, Surname, District, Taluk, Mobile number, E mail id and Aadhar number. We have created a login ID and password. We can only log in with this login ID and password and continue.
Searching and finding the service we want
After logging in, a new window will open with different tabs such as Dashboard, Services, Check Status, Pending transactions, Transaction details and feedback.
Now click on the “Services” tab. Click the “Service tab” in this services tab. A search tab will be displayed on it. We can write the name of the document we want and click the search button.
To apply for the document we want
Now we can click on the name of the document we want. After clicking it, a small window will open separately.
In the window that opens, some general information such as explanation about the document, required documents and details about the application fee. After reading the instructions, click on the continue button.
If you have already applied and received any documents through the “E Sevai” center, provide the mobile phone number or name used or the father’s name or e-mail ID or CAN (Common Account Number for Tamilnadu citizen) number and click search. If you are applying to the “E Sevai” portal for the first time, you must register the CAN number. If so, click on the CAN save button displayed. After saving the CAN number, you should enter and search for it in the previous window.
Now, your other basic details will be displayed directly. You need to select it and click the create OTP button for verification. You have provided the OTP being sent to the registered mobile phone number. A new window will now open. In this window, your basic information will be automatically entered as you have already provided on the CAN registration page. Simply provide some additional details required for the certificate you wish to apply for. After providing the necessary information, click the continue button.
Now we need to upload the required documents in the new window that appears. Make sure to compress the size of uploaded documents as the portal will not accept documents greater than 200 KB. After successfully uploading all the required documents, we need to pay the application fee online. A receipt will be generated after payment. We will now receive a receipt. Application ID will be given on this voucher. Since it takes some time for the authorities to sign, we have to wait a few more days to get our certificates. We can check the status on the portal by giving an Application number. We can download the certificate in pdf format.
Remember to verify the signature on the certificate before printing it using the Adobe pdf reader as it is a digital signature.
